Message from President Robinson

Over the last several months you have heard about Right to Work, but do you know what it really means to you.
Right to Work will not reverse our state’s economic troubles, but it will negatively impact you and your family. Please consider these facts listed below which were obtained from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Oklahoma lost more than 22,000 manufacturing jobs right after Right to Work took effect in 2001.
North Carolina, a Right to Work state with the smallest percentage of union workers of any state, lost more jobs than Michigan did between 1994 and 2005.
Women in Right to Work states earn 12 percent less than women in non-Right to Work states.
The percentage of people without health coverage is 30 percent higher in Right to Work states.
Both union and non-union workers in Right to Work states earn an average of $7,000 less per year.
54 percent more people get killed on the job in Right to Work states as opposed to non-Right to Work states like Michigan.
Right to Work is being promoted by corporate interests in Michigan. They are pursuing an agenda to increase their profits at the expense of your family’s livelihood, resulting in lower wages, reduced benefits and weaker worker protections
